Mr. Proctor received his Bachelor’s in Music Education and his Masters in Education from Northern Kentucky University. While at NKU he participated in numerous performances with the NKU Symphonic Winds as principal percussionist, as well as performances with the NKU Steel Band, Marimba Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Proctor was the Associate Director of Bands for Beechwood Independent Schools from 2009-2017. While at Beechwood he oversaw the 5th grade beginning band, 7th grade band, 8th grade band, Jazz Lab Band, Basketball Pep Band and was the visual caption head of the high school marching band. Under Mr. Proctor's direction the Beechwood Concert Bands earned "Distinguished Ratings" at KMEA Concert Assessment each year of his tenure. During Mr. Proctor's time at Beechwood the Marching Band was named Class A State Champions 6 times and Class A BOA Grand National Champions in 2011. From 2017-2019 Mr. Proctor was the Assistant Director at Larry A. Ryle High School. While at Ryle he oversaw the Percussion Ensemble, Symphony Band II, Basketball Pep Band and was the visual caption head of the Marching Band. Under Mr. Proctor's leadership his Ensembles received "Distinguished Ratings" at KMEA Concert Assessment each year of his tenure and the Marching band was a Class AAAAA State Finalist for the first time in the schools history. Mr. Proctor is very active in music education in and around the area and has a great passion for developing students through music. Mr. Proctor grew up in Northern Kentucky, is a graduate of Scott High School in Taylor Mill and currently resides in Union, Kentucky where he lives with his beautiful bride Stephanie and two daughters, Eden and Emerson.
